Jenna Moles, Allen, Plano, Frisco & Mckinney Texas
Jenna’s passion for American Sign Language began when she took an ASL class at summer camp in the third grade. Signing came very naturally to her and she was fascinated by the interpreters during church services. When Jenna graduated High School she wanted to go to college to become a sign language interpreter for Deaf children. She attended Collin College in Plano,Texas where she took two years of American Sign Language including courses on Deaf culture. During this time, she was given the opportunity to meet many people who are Deaf. They have taught her so much about life and have inspired her to promote American Sign Language and share her love of the Deaf community.
After her third year of college, she decided to pursue a career in teaching. She attended The University of North Texas in Denton where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development and Early Childhood Education in May 2008. Currently, she teaches preschool full-time but still maintains her love of ASL as a My Smart Hands™ instructor!
The early years of a child’s life are the prime years for learning. Infants can understand spoken language long before they can verbally express themselves. This is why Jenna advocates the use of American Sign Language signs for infants, and with the My Smart Hands™ curriculum you can be conversing with your baby in no time!
Jenna promises to meet the many developmental needs of your young child through exciting visuals, movements, music and sounds to make each sign come to life for your child. Infant sign is a wonderful way to bond with your child and create memories while learning to communicate. American Sign Language is a lifelong skill that your baby can build on as he or she grows and develops!
