When Should I Stop Signing With My Baby??
When Should I Stop Signing With My Baby??
This is a question I often get from parents. They wonder if they should stop signing with their baby once he/she can talk. My answer is always no! If you are enjoying it and your child likes it then I suggest you continue signing. At the very lease, continue to use the manual alphabet with them. There are many many educational benefits to continue signing with your child.
Here is a video of my daughter who is not yet three and is able to print words. I believe that this is a result of us using sign language with her. Remember, you are giving them another language! It is the third most used language in the United States and fourth in all of North America... it’s a great one to have!
