One comment from a mother I received after she watched the video explains the exact reason why I wanted to make the video:
“I saw in your video tonight. After watching it I was moved to tears. I work very hard at instilling confidence in my 6 year old daughter. I use the right words. Smart, kind, funny, in addition to beautiful. I tell her she’s perfect exactly as she is. while my daughter is truly gorgeous I want her to know there is more than just outward appearance. As a mom I’ve always known it was my job to be careful of My words to her. But what breaks my heart is that while I work so hard to do things right I’m undoing all of my conscious efforts by the words I use towards myself. I don’t know why but this never ever crossed my mind. Thank you. So very much for helping me see the damage I may be doing by putting myself down especially in front of her. I applaud your project. I know there are others making the same mistake as me and you have just done something wonderful. Startingtomorrow things will be different thanks to you.”
